Over 27,000$ raised for children!Over 27,000$ raised for children!

Toronto, May 28th 2009 - The 10 participants of the Peru Inca Trail Challenge have just returned from an amazing 4 day trek in Peru. After a bumpy start with flight changes due to the H1N1 virus and a delay caused by fog in Lima, the group finally made it to Cusco! This HUMA Challenge was organized to raise funds for Save the Children's programs in Latin America and it helped raise over $27,000 for this amazing charity. The fundraising was a collective effort by the participants as they raised funds by donations, events, and solicitations with friends, family and colleagues.

AJ Messier phtography"From the moment we stepped off the plane in Cusco our group was taken care of every step of the way on our journey in Peru. I cannot say enough positive things about the staff in Peru who truly made our trek to Machu Picchu the trip of a lifetime for all of us. Our guide Rene was incredible and there to answer every question we had, sharing his knowledge and passion of his country with our group of 10 trekkers. On the trek Rene, Joanna, the cooks and porters took care of us the entire 4 days we were hiking on the trail to Machu Picchu. The food was excellent, the views spectacular but it was Rene and the all the staff who educated and motivated us each and every day we were there. I cannot thank them enough for the experience they gave us. It is a gift I can never repay" - David Spedding, director of philanthropy and Peru Inca Trail Challenge 2009 participant.

Thank you to all that have made this HUMA Challenge a success!
