Huma Challenge is proud to have raised thousands of dollars for various charitable organizations in Canada. Listed below are some of the charities we have partnered with to organize a charity challenge.

The Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation

The Sir Edmund Hillary FoundationAfter a friendship of several years with Sir Edmund Hillary, accompanying him on trips within Canada and the U.S.A., Mr. W. F. (Zeke) O’Connor was honoured in being invited as the Canadian representative on an expedition to the Mount Everest Base Camp in 1973, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the successful ascent of Mount Everest by Sir Edmund and Sherpa, Tenzing Norgay. Mr. O’Connor has revisited Nepal each year since his visit in 1973 to the present.

The Mountain Fund

The Mountain Fund The Mountain Fund was founded in 2005, with a goal to create healthy, vibrant mountain communities where people have access to health care, education and economic opportunity in an environment where human rights are valued and respected.

Animals Asia Foundation

Founded by Jill Robinson in 1998, Animals Asia Foundation is devoted to the welfare of wild and urban animals in Asia. We also work towards the conservation of endangered species.

Animals Asia is an Asian-focused registered charity with headquarters in Hong Kong and offices in Australia, China, Germany, Italy, the UK and USA, as well as Moon Bear Rescue Centres in China and Vietnam. We have around 270 staff worldwide.

Save the Children

Save the Children Canada is a member of Save the Children International, a network of 29 member organizations raising funds and operating programs domestically and internationally that focus on the issues of health and nutrition, education, HIV and AIDS, child protection, livelihoods and food security, emergency relief and child rights governance.

The members of Save the Children International work together as a federation by pooling resources, establishing common positions on issues and carrying out joint projects.

Light up the world

Help us bring lighting to a village in Nepal, the birthplace of Light up the World in 1997. With solar powered LED lighting systems installed in the village of Ghopte Ghyang, villagers will benefit from safer and cleaner homes, opportunities for education and a better environment for their children.

Leucan

Leucan is an association whose mission is to help cancer-stricken children and their families believe in a brighter future.

Leucan looks after its families at each phase of the illness by providing specific and adapted services. Leucan is present in all walks of family life whether it be at the hospital, at home, at school, in social life or in the public eye, by means of financial assistance, welcome, emotional assistance and support services, information, hosting and support in playrooms, massage therapy at the hospital and in the region, socio-recreational activities, support groups, school life and end-of-life and bereavement follow-up services.

Heart & Stroke Foundation

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario is a community based volunteer organization whose mission is to reduce the risk of premature death and disability from heart disease and stroke by raising funds for research and health promotion.
