The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario is a community based volunteer organization whose mission is to reduce the risk of premature death and disability from heart disease and stroke by raising funds for research and health promotion. This is what the funds from this active adventure charity challenge will help fund.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario has:

  • Contributed over $1 billion to research
  • In 2007, the Foundation spent more than $58 million in research
  • Since 1952, the death rate from cardiovascular disease has decreased by 70%
